Books for Yoga Teachers
In the past few years I've written three books. Teaching Yoga (2010) came about through years of training teachers, espcially though Yoga Inside Foundation but also in traditional yoga studio settings. Yoga Sequencing (2012) arose from years of teaching "The Art and Science of Sequecning" workshop, with hundreds of participants sharing their insights and wisdom. I had planed to complete a book on food and another on haiku when I was inspired by WIlliam J. Broad's "yoga can wreck your body" articles to write a very detailed book on guiding the practice - Yoga Adjustments (2014).

Teaching Yoga gives a broad overview of yoga philosophy, history, subtle energy, body structure and movement before going in-depth on the practical methods and techniques for teaching highly effective classes to a diverse array of students. This highly accessible book is written to serve a diverse range of yoga teachers rather than those teaching within one style, brand or lineage. Its eclectic perspective encourages teachers to be their creative best while clear in understanding the foundational of the art and science of teaching yoga.
North Atlantic Books, 2010.

Yoga Sequencing asks and attempts to answer one queston about yoga: why this, then that? Put differently, what is the best way to order the elements of a yoga practice? How are postures best placed in sensible sequences - sequences that make sense in a safe and sustainable yoga practice?
