The Art and Science of Guiding Student Practices – Hands-On Adjustments Intensive

Saturday, June 13th, 1:00pm-5:30pm and Sunday, June 14th, 12:30pm-5:30pm at City Studio
Skillful, sensitive, appropriate touch and verbal cues have the potential to transport students to more conscious awareness and self-refinement in their yoga practice. But before we speak and touch we must first see and understand the unique qualities present in an individual student’s practice.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Further develop and refine your asana observation skills
  • Learn and practice a variety of effective hands-on adjustments that address alignment challenges, risks of injury, energetic actions, and also encourage inner guidance in a every family of asanas
  • Enhance the skill of linking clear demonstrations and verbal cues with tactile cues
  • Deepen your confidence in the practice of giving and receiving as you learn to better help students find joy and ease amidst the challenges in their practice

For 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified teachers the credits of the course can be applied towards the 500 hour certification, and is eligible for 11.5 hours CEU with Yoga Alliance. Continuing Education Units are required to maintain your status as a Registered Yoga Teacher.
