And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful the risk it took to blossom.

Winter Solstice Yoga Retreat
with Mark Stephens
Haramara, Mexico
Dec. 20–27, 2025
8 Days & 7 Nights at a Seaside Eco-Paradise
Amid the swirling energies of the Winter Solstice and year-end celebrations, this all-inclusive retreat invites you to immerse yourself in Haramara’s natural setting for renewal and transformation.

The Daily Flow
There are infinite possibilities for how you make this retreat your own.
Here’s the basic flow of a typical day — join in as you please!
Sunrise meditation & pranayama, light breakfast (coffee/tea service starts at 6:30), mid-morning yoga class, lunch, mid-day workshops & activities (hanging out on the beach, swimming in the ocean or heated pool, yoga workshops, excursions, getting a massage, napping in a hammock, surfing, reading, exploring nearby Sayulita...), late afternoon yin/restorative yoga class, dinner, evening programs (talks, meditation, satsang, movies...).
Perhaps the greatest gift of a yoga retreat is one another. At Haramara, there’s abundant time for free-flowing conversation — on the land, at the beach, while sharing meals, or simply hanging out. Here, you may find those with whom you most resonate: kindred spirits, fellow travelers, even soulmates.

The Daily Yoga Program
These offerings are just that – offerings. Going with the flow, you can choose to do whatever you please throughout each day.
- Sunrise Pranayama and Meditation Practice: 7am to 8am
Looking out across the jungle to the Sierra Madre Mountains, the sun will soon rise. We sit, breathe, and sit a little more. Each successive day, we explore going gradually further with a variety of traditional yogic breathing practices for fully waking up and balancing our energy. - Energizing Morning Practice: 10am to 12pm
This “all levels” Vinyasa Flow style class is equally accessible and engaging to all levels of experience and conditions. Each class concludes with restoratives, pranayama and meditation. - Mid-Day Mini-Workshops and Tune-Ups: 2pm to 4pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Topics based on your interests and requests. Examples from past years include refining the sun salutations, standing pose basics, hand and wrist care, handstands, hip openers, and modifications for pregnancy, osteoporosis, and other special conditions. - Sunset Yin/Restorative Practice: 5pm to 6pm
Purely on the floor with cushions, blankets, and a soothing afternoon breeze, here we simply and utterly let go. What might you let go of? Come explore! - After-Dinner Yoga Salons: 8pm to 9pm
Thought-provoking and engaging conversations on...What is yoga? How does postural yoga relate to consciousness? How might I more consciously cultivate clarity and congruence in my life? What is tantra? What’s the difference between yoga and tantra, and what do they share? What about yoga and…politics?! Yoga and religion? Yoga and your family? Your work?

Food & Dining
Sharing food and conversation is one of the great highlights of all our retreats at Haramara. The food is truly divine — nourishing the body and uplifting the spirit.
Haramara's chefs prepare exquisite meals using local organic produce and seafood caught fresh daily. If you are vegan or have other special food interests, the kitchen staff will happily prepare your meals accordingly.
The food is all organic, clean, healthy, delicious and beautifully presented.
The dining pavilion is a romantic yet spacious ridge-top palapa overlooking the jungle and sea.
